Kim Mears, Kinesiologist
Kim practices Kinesiology, a modality that blends Eastern and Western approaches to energy balancing. Using the acupuncture system, biofeedback, and muscle monitoring, Kinesiology gathers direct information from the body to identify patterns of stress. It works with both the mind and body to address the underlying core issues behind physical challenges, emotional stress, and spiritual awakening.
Kim’s work focuses on guiding individuals on their journey to understanding and accessing their inner wisdom, enabling alignment of the body, mind, and spirit. This alignment fosters profound experiences of love, joy, confidence, optimal health, and true happiness. What Kim loves most about Kinesiology is that it allows the body itself to guide the process through biofeedback, making the experience entirely unique and personal.
Kim typically recommends 1-3 sessions and highlights that Kinesiology is particularly effective for children. Unlike adults, children are less attached to ingrained patterns of behavior, allowing them to achieve remarkable results. While Kinesiology does not diagnose or treat illness, it focuses on uncovering the root cause and restoring balance to the body.
Michael Hughes, Hypnotherapist
Release the power within. Supporting you with chronic pain, anxiety, addiction, weight management, motivation, gambling, fears, sleeping, IBS, sporting performance and public speaking. Michael developed an interest in hypnotherapy at the early age of 10, after witnessing a demonstration whilst on holidays in The Hunter Valley. This sparked a lifelong questioning and study of all things relating to consciousness and parapsychology.
After completing a government accredited diploma of clinical hypnotherapy in 2019, he established Harmony and Health Hypnotherapy from his Newcastle home, as well as a medical practice in Cooks Hill, before joining the team at Vitality Junction in 2024.
Michael has been accepted into The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association and works with a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, anxiety, addiction, concerns with dental procedures, sleeping difficulties, trauma, confidence and motivation.
In 2022, Michael developed the concept of ‘Slumber Therapy’, and along with local illustrator Skye Higgins, has published the first three books in the series, designed to help children with sleep, anxiety, confidence, self-belief, resilience, bed wetting and other developmental challenges.
Each book has a QR Code linking to a narration, which can also be used as a guided meditation for both children and adults. Hypnotherapy sessions are usually forty-five minutes to seventy-five minutes in duration, with three sessions typical for lasting results. Sessions are by appointment on Wednesdays between 9:00am – 4:00pm.
