INGREDIENTS

• 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon true cinnamon powder
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup rolled oats
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

METHOD
 
  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and grease a baking dish.

  2. In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon of true cinnamon. Transfer them to the prepared
    baking dish.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of true cinnamon, and salt. Add the cubed butter and mix until crumbly.

  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.

  5. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the topping turns golden
    brown and the apples are tender. Remove from the oven and let it cool. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
